The Indian Health Service would like to present the opportunity for proposal on a 2,000/2,500 sf. dental clinic. Documents are attached that constitute a request for proposal (RFP) – numbered; 285-12-RFP-0017 for the construction of a dental clinic to be located at Mashpee Service Unit, 483 Great Neck Road South, Mashpee, MA 02649.

A detailed scope of work is listed in section “C” of the RFP document. Please read it and base your proposal upon the information given therein.

The concept presented here is a design build modular dental clinic that will be turnkey ready for business once installed and completed.

Please return the proposal by May 10, 2012.

I am writing to update you on a recent development in our efforts to provide economic development for our Tribe through a destination resort casino. The Tribal Council proposes to create by Ordinance the “Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Gaming Authority.” Below, please see a few facts about the Gaming Authority.

• The Gaming Authority would be an agency of the Mashpee Wampanoag tribal government.
• The Gaming     Authority would report directly to the Tribal Council.
• Typical of large     tribal gaming facilities, the Gaming Authority would be created to     develop, own and operate the Tribe’s gaming and related facilities for the     benefit of the Tribe.
• The Gaming Authority would help protect the Tribe from liabilities that arise out of the gaming business, including borrowings for the hundreds of millions of dollars anticipated to be spent on the gaming facilities.
• The Gaming Authority would be governed by a 5 member Board of Directors.
• The Board of Directors would be charged with being responsive to the day-to-day business needs of a multi-million dollar gaming operation.
• It is proposed that the Board of Directors would consist of the Tribal Chairman and Treasurer, plus three other Tribal Council members chosen by the Tribal Council.
